However, for a “policy wonk” he seems to be missing a major point. Neither party is purposing to abandon those in the most need. The alternative plan, as outlined by Docs4patientcare is to give control of those dollars to the patients. This liberates the patients from having to sit in a government building begging for support in the first place. The premium of their insurance is supported based on need, and as Mitch Daniels has shown with Medicaid in Indiana the patient does a much better job managing those funds then does the government.
