The Healthcare Innovation World Cup challenges entrepreneurs and innovators in healthcare and information technology to develop creative solutions for global public health issues.

This year, the competition focuses on improving the health of patients with diabetes, inviting critical thinkers worldwide to propose novel ideas for enhancing prevention, early diagnosis, and management of the condition.

The World Cup offers participants a high-profile stage to showcase their work, with $75,000 in total prize money for winning solutions and networking opportunities with industry leaders.

Entries Due March 31

To join in the competition, simply submit a 500-word description of your idea via our website.

Entries are due March 31, 2013. You can participate as an individual or as a team of two or three people. All competitors retain the intellectual property and equity of their creations.

If your idea is selected to advance to the next round, you’ll be asked to submit a business plan providing more detail.

In addition to winning prize money, regional semifinalists receive an expense-paid trip to New Delhi, India or New York, USA, and finalists travel to New York to showcase their ideas for industry leaders.

Worldwide, 347 million people have diabetes, and that number is growing.
