Louise Aronson MD, MFA, (@LouiseAronson) is a geriatrician, writer and Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) where she is Chief of Geriatrics Education and Director of Medical Humanities. Her writing appears in literary and medical journals and in the lay press, including the New York Times, Washington Post, the New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, and the Lancet. Her first book, A History of the Present Illness, was published by Bloomsbury in 2013.
