Janet Huehls, MS, Clinical Exercise Physiologist and Certified Health Coach.  For the past thirty years, Janet has guided people in using exercise as medicine by integrating both exercise science and motivation science.

She started her career in cardiac rehabilitation at Mercy Medical Center in New York and then at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston Massachusetts. For the past fifteen years, she has been part of the team at the UMass Memorial Weight Center.

Motivated by the widespread misinformation about exercise as the root cause of physical inactivity in her patients, she founded Exercising WELL, a program that combines the coaching science with exercise science to teach people how to exercise right, so they feel better and stay motivated.

She enjoys blogging and speaking on exercise-related topics that inspire people to rethink exercise as a source of whole person self-care.

She enjoys spending time with her family and friends kayaking and hiking.  She can be reached at her website and blog at www.ExercisingWELL.com
