David McHale is the Chief Legal and Human Resources Officer of The Doctors Company, where he oversees the legal, regulatory compliance, human resources, and government relations activities for the company. Prior to joining The Doctors Company, McHale was a Vice President and Deputy General Counsel with Nationwide Insurance. Prior to joining Nationwide, he served in a variety of positions with Allstate Insurance Company. A frequent presenter before trade associations and the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, he has also authored articles on cybersecurity and cyber, legal, and enterprise risk management. McHale holds an undergraduate degree in government from the University of San Francisco, a law degree from the University of the Pacific’s McGeorge School of Law, and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Illinois.
