The Doctor Weighs In

Pat Salber, M.D., M.B.A., is a physican executive and health journalist who founded and serves as the Editor-in-Chief of The Doctor Weighs In. She was a double-boarded emergency physician at Kaiser Permanente until transitioning into a national executive position as the organization’s first Director of National Accounts. Over the course of her career, she has worked in leadership roles in almost every aspect of healthcare. Currently, she serves as a consultant to CMS and speaks and moderates at both national and international healthcare conferences. She also serves on the Board of MedShare, a 501c3 humanitarian aid organization as well as on advisory councils of a number of health technology startups. Pat has been a Top Voice in Healthcare on LinkedIn for 2017 and 2018. She has published on a variety of topics in both peer-reviewed journals and trade publications. Her first book, The Physician’s Guide to Intimate Partner Violence and Abuse, was one of the first books on the topic written specifically for health care professionals. Her second, Connected Health: Improving Care, Safety, and Efficiency with Wearables and IoT Solution explores the field of digital health.
